It’s time for the May 2016 installment of the Direct Energy Buzz! This month, we’ll recap some recent popular topics including our Smart Products Review for the living room, our involvement in the Bloomberg Future of Energy Summit, and whether or not ENERGY STAR appliances are worth the investment.
You’ve probably seen the blue ENERGY STAR logo located on the corner of appliances When customers purchase an appliance or product with a blue box. It communicates that each ENERGY STAR certified product can provide significant energy savings. We wondered if purchasing such an appliance over a non-certified product can truly save energy and money in the long run? So, we created a simple “cheat sheet” to help you understand the true impact of ENERGY STAR certified products on your energy bill. We hope you put it to good use next time you need to buy new appliances for your home.
Technology is constantly changing, which makes it hard for the typical consumer to keep up with each new product that hits the market. This is why we created our monthly Smart Products Review series as a way to introduce you to the latest and greatest devices in the Internet of Things market. Our most recent edition targeted smart products typically found in the living room, including voice assistants and speakers to smart plugs.
