The Direct Energy Innovation to Inspiration mobile exhibit recently crossed the border to make its Canadian debut! This three-stop Alberta tour featured a range of highlights, including touring the Minister of Energy through the exhibit, teaching our Alberta employees about the exciting innovations and services we plan to bring to Alberta (such as our partnership with panoramic power), and having people line up at Beakerhead Festival’s Beakernight to tour the mobile exhibit!

After a successful California Tour, our lovely Big Orange Lady made her way to the East Coast and stopped in sunny Ocean City, Maryland, for the Maryland Municipal League’s (MML) Annual Convention. We greeted convention participants on their way in and out of the exhibit hall during the first two days of the convention, where business owners, local municipal leaders, councilmen, mayors and Maryland state leaders had a chance to tour the mobile exhibit to ask questions and learn more about how to bring our products and services to their respective hometowns.

Direct Energy made a lasting impression at Energy Thought Summit (ETS@Chicago) as one of the presenting sponsors. We hosted a #specialparty networking hour, featured two of our very own on VPs on panels, debuted our new Direct Energy studio and Direct Energy branded BrightBox mobile phone charging device (now placed on the iTOi mobile exhibit), and not to mention – Direct Energy officially announced the launch of Direct Your Energy while we were attending the event. Throughout the two days in Chicago, panelists discussed the future of energy from, solar, distributed generation and Smart Grids to the internet of things (iOT) and the connected home.

The second leg of the Direct Energy Innovation to Inspiration (iTOi) tour began at Zyprme’s Energy Thought Summit (ETS) in Austin, Texas. ETS kicked-off on Tuesday evening with a happy hour hosted on our very own mobile exhibit located near the conference and event center. The Direct Energy iTOi exhibit had visitors that evening from national media and energy professionals to Founders/CEOs of some of energy’s most exciting start-up companies.
