February is sometimes referred to as the month of love. It’s a time show your appreciation to those you love: your family, friends, teachers, and more. As such, February is also American Heart Month, so it’s an appropriate month to be aware of heart disease, the number one way we lose our mothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, daughters, & friends. The American Heart Association launched “Go Red For Women” 10 years ago, and this year, it is on February 7th. National Wear Red Day is a day to wear red and bring more awareness to heart disease, also called the silent killer of women.
