The Reduce Your Use For Good Program: Grants to Help Nonprofits Reduce Energy Usage

As you know if you’ve been implementing energy-saving changes around your house or business, small changes can add up to make a big difference – saving money on your energy bill as well as reducing environmental impact on the planet. At Direct Energy we also have a bigger vision. We use our energy expertise to support small (and medium, and large!) efforts to change the world by conserving energy. With our new Reduce Your Use For Good program, we want to help nonprofits reduce their energy use so they can focus more money on their mission, and less on their energy bill. Nonprofit groups can win $2,500 grants to help implement energy-saving changes!

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Make a two-minute video. We want to know about your organization and its vision, how the small things you do add up to make a big difference and why it’s so important that your group continue your mission.

Step 2: Submit your video online. Upload your video to ReduceYourUseForGood.com. We’ll show you how to link the video to your Facebook page.

Step 3: Spread the word. Now it’s time to tell everyone you know to a) watch your video on Facebook and b) “Like” our Direct Energy Facebook page. Each time we receive 2500 Likes, we’ll choose a nonprofit that’s participating in the Reduce Your Use For Good program and grant them $2500 to help them reduce their energy use and continue their good work.

The more Likes we get, the more money we’ll give out. As people keep Liking our page, we’ll keep donating until we’ve donated up to $100,000! That’s our way of helping nonprofits make the world a better place, one small change at a time.
