It’s May Day! This holiday is a great opportunity to spend time with family and enjoy the beginning of spring. It’s also the perfect chance to try out some new DIY crafts while doing something nice for a neighbor. One of our favorite May Day traditions is to hang a basket full of spring flowers or gifts on your neighbor’s doorknob. Here are a few eco-friendly May Day basket ideas:
- Substitute a new basket for a reusable container like a tin can, Mason jar or shoebox. Decorate your container for a custom look!
- Bake sweet treats using eco-friendly recipes like organic banana bread or no-bake cookies.
- Give the gift of a garden! Instead of filling your basket with cut flowers, give packets of seeds instead.
We hope your May Day is full of eco-friendly gifts and of course the traditional May pole!
