Direct Energy Donates Stove to Findlay, OH’s Hope House Just In Time For The HolidaysOn Thursday, November 21st, 2013, Direct Energy donated a brand new stove to a Findlay, OH-area transitional shelter, Hope House. Hope House was founded 23 years ago as a nonprofit organization that combats homelessness and poverty in Hancock County through individual and community education, affordable housing, and advocacy. The new stove has double ovens and energy-efficient features so that Hope House can focus less on high energy costs and more on its mission to help the less fortunate. With this new stove, families living at the Hope House will be able to cook their meals quickly and more efficiently.Direct Energy Donates Stove to Findlay, OH’s Hope House Just In Time For The Holidays

After the stove installation, Direct Energy was treated to a tour of Hope House. Housing  up to 9 families at a time, the facility was impeccably clean and featured a library, playroom for children, garden, spacious living and eating areas, a craft room, and computers so that residents could apply for jobs or complete school work online. Hope House’s goal is to assist its residents to get back on their feet so that they can move forward with their lives as independent and successful individuals.Direct Energy Donates Stove to Findlay, OH’s Hope House Just In Time For The Holidays

Direct Energy is always looking for ways to harness our energy expertise to make a positive difference in people’s lives, as well as to help them cut costs on their energy bills. The new stove at Findlay’s Hope House will do just that.
