Direct Energy Buzz October 25 Edition

Happy Friday! We’re also less than one week away from the spookiest holiday of the year, Halloween. Have you checked your home for energy zombies lately? We’ve had a ton of things going on here at Direct Energy this week, so here’s your recap!

On Monday, we announced Volunteer Citizen of the Year’s return to Cleveland, Ohio. Click here to learn more about how you can nominate a deserving individual. Still haven’t found the perfect Halloween costume yet? Tune into Tuesday’s blog for some of our favorite DIY ideas. The Energy Zombies were back on Wednesday! Chunk and Rita Shambles returned to remind us how much energy they can suck from your home if you’re not careful. We’ve been spending some time in Columbus, Ohio lately. Yesterday, we shared a few photos about our three most recent Reduce Your Use for Good grant presentations. Check out the post to learn more about these amazing nonprofits and our Reduce Your Use for Good grant program! We’re also helping out Big Brothers Big Sisters in Pa. On Oct. 22, we announced a two-year donation totaling $250,000 to 10 Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters throughout the state.

Now it’s time for this week’s Hot Job. We’re currently seeking a financial analyst at our Sarasota, Fla. office. If you have four years of relevant accounting or finance experience, click here to apply!
