If the days seem a little brighter and the summer a little sweeter, we’d have to agree. We were busy sharing a lot of good news and some great energy ideas over the week, so we have some catching up to do.
If you’re a regular blog reader you already know about our new Reduce Your Use For Good grants. They’re a great opportunity for non-profits to make important energy saving changes and improvements that will drive savings for them and the environment well into the future – how’s that for a great idea? Read more to find out about the program and how to qualify. It’s an important project, but we also hope it’s a lot of fun.
But the good news doesn’t stop there. We’re also asking for help looking for our 3rd Annual Cleveland Volunteer Citizen of the Year. It’s another program we’re tremendously proud of (and it’s been a great time for us as well!).
Even if you’re not in the running for citizen of the year, you can make a big impact on the environment and your electric bill. Have you ever stopped to consider that summertime grilling isn’t just delicious, it’s an energy-wise idea as well?
If grilling is too “old school”, how about some cool technology that can help keep you safe and informed during the summer storm season?
We’ll close with a little trivia for the weekend. If you follow us on Twitter, you’ll probably already know that flushing toilets accounts for 27% of household water use!
