NASA’s “Black Marble” Photos of Earth

Last week, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released a photo collection of Earth at night called “Black Marble,” which was captured by Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite, or VIIRS.
